Diablo IV character customisation is all about player choice and tailoring your character to reflect your personality. Fancy becoming at tattooed warrior? Sure, no problem. Or perhaps you’d rather step into the shoes of a larger-than-life Necromancer draped in vibrant colours? Yep, you can do that.

Unlike the previous entires in the series, Diablo IV offers a greater degree of character customisation, allowing for near-endless possibilities. You can choose how you look, with facial features, facial hair, eye colour, skin tone, hair colour, piercings, and other options to tinker your dungeon-crawler to your liking.

You can also customs your gear and wardrobe, allowing you to express your character in ways not possible in previous Diablo games. Meanwhile, your character’s body can be further tweaked with dozens of markings, including being tattooed from head to toe.

Diablo IV naturally features multiple classes to choose from, including the Barbarian, Sorcerer, Rogue, Druid, and Necromancer. Each of them feature unique abilities based on that class, allowing you to choose the class that best suits your playstyle.

The Barbarian, for example, is a warrior-based class that excels at basic combat and master any weapon given to them, while the Sorcerer wields powerful magics that allow them to harness elemental powers such as lighting, ice, and fire. The Rogue meanwhile is something of a jack-of-all-trades, and specialise in different types of combat, from poisoning enemies to employing shadow magic for stealth encounters. The Druid on the other hand is a shapeshifter who is able to transform into various creature, including a vicious werewolf. Finally, the Necromancer harnesses the power of life and death, summoning undead warriors to their cause.

Meanwhile, the Skill Tree is something you’ll be familiarised with upon starting the game. Here, you’ll pick the skills that you will be upgrading and mastering throughout your journey; again, this channels Diablo IV’s focus on player customisation, as the skills you choose are instrumental in evolving your character as you sink more hours into the game. Meanwhile, the Paragon board offers the chance to dive into theory crafting and the skills system of Diablo IV once you have completed your Skill Tree. This is another means of shaping your character how you see fit, as you’ll encounter nodes that give you various stats, including additional dexterity and intelligence, to modifying a skill outright and acquire bonuses.

Diablo IV is scheduled for release on June 6, 2023 for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.
