Sebastian Kalemba Named As The Witcher 4 Game Director

Former CD Projekt RED animation director Sebastian Kalemba has announced that he’s directing The Witcher 4.

Kalemba announced the news himself on Twitter, writing, “Career news: I’m directing the new Witcher Saga. Since joining CD Projekt Red I believe nothing is impossible and raising the bar, telling emotional stories & creating worlds is what we’re here for.”

Having joined CDPR back in October 2014, Kalemba served as lead animator for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077, and was later promoted to animation boss for the company as a whole.

He also served as a creative director for 15 months prior to be appointed game director on the new Witcher saga.

CDPR announced plans for a new The Witcher trilogy last month, with plans to have all three games out within a six-year period once the game first game launches. In addition, the company is also working on a complete remake of The Witcher in Unreal Engine 5.

Beyond that, CDPR is also working on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which will be arriving at some point in Q4 2022.
