Dead by Daylight looks set to lose the rights to one of its most iconic killers in the shape of Leatherface from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
That’s according to prominent Dead by Daylight news source DBDLeaks, which claims that Leatherface is going to be removed due to the upcoming Texas Chainsaw Massacre game. This isn’t surprising as splitting the licensing between two games would probably not be the way to go.
Beyond that, players have also noticed that Leatherface’s perks have been renamed in the latest public beta, while other characters in Dead by Daylight were discounted, save for Leatherface.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre game is currently in development at Sumo Nottingham and will launch in 2023 for PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One.
