Journalist Andy Robinson has hinted that a new real-time strategy Star Wars game is in production at a ‘big-name developer,’ and it’s not the same title that was previously confirmed as being in development at Bit Reactor.
Responding to a tweet posted by Josh West regarding a sequel to Empire at War, Robinson commented, “I imagine you won’t have to wait much longer for a Star Wars RTS from a big-name developer…,” before clarifying, “The one I was thinking of hasn’t been announced.”
That’s about all there is to go on right now, although hopefully we’ll get official confirmation on the project soon. Beyond the already-confirmed Star Wars RTS, Respawn announced back in January 2022 that it’s also working on a new first-person shooter based on the series.
The most recent entry in the series, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, is now available for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
