The PS4 version of Hogwarts Legacy is out today, and YouTuber ElAnalistaDeBits has put the last-generation version of the Wizarding World RPG through its paces. The result? It’s actually a solid-looking port!
The biggest different is obviously the visual quality itself, with the PS5 version offering high-resolution textures and more details such as extra foliage and more detailed environments. The loading times are also far shorter on PS5, with the PS4 and PS4 Pro versions taking around 40 seconds.
For base PS4 version owners, the resolution will clock in at 900p and runs at 30 FPS, but it’s possible for it to reach 50 FPS when unlocked. The PS4 Pro performance meanwhile targets 1080p/30 FPS, but indoors the frame rate can hit 60 FPS.
Hogwarts Legacy was released for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S in February 2023, with the PS4 and Xbox One versions out today. The Nintendo Switch release is scheduled to launch in July. You can read our full Hogwarts Legacy PS5 review here.
