Quantum Error Dev Going ‘All Out As Much As We Can On PS5,’ Confirms PS4 Version Arriving ‘Later Down The Road’

TeamKill Media has announced on Twitter that cosmic horror shooter Quantum Error will be arriving on PS4 later down the road, with the studio going ‘all out as much as possible’ for PS5 within the confines of 60 FPS.

Crucially, while the studio revealed that the PS4 version will be a downgraded build of what is coming to PS5, TeamKill Media isn’t ‘sacrificing anything on PS5 for PS4.’ So, it sounds like the PS5 release of Quantum Error is the place to be for the best experience possible.

The PS5 version is next gen. We are going all out as much as we can on PS5 within the confines of 60FPS. The ps4 version will be coming later down the road and it will be a down graded version. We are not sacrificing anything on PS5 for ps4.

Quantum Error has been a long time coming, as it was originally announced even before the PS5 was released. There’s no release date in sight, but TeamKill Media has on numerous occasions stated its intention to have the PS5 version running in tip-top shape.

Back in March 2020, the studio revealed that the developer was targeting 60 FPS/4K resolution on Sony’s new console, and the following month said it would not be compromised by cross-generation development.

At one stage Quantum Error was reportedly going to be a launch game for the PS5, but this was quickly rectified by TeamKill Media.
