Meta4 Interactive has announced the release of Transformers Beyond Reality for PSVR 2/PS5 today, taking the form of an arcade shooter where you’ll go up against the might of the Insecticons and Decepticons.
The arrival of Transformers Beyond Reality for Sony’s latest virtual reality headset brings an increase in visual fidelity and performance, with the game achieving 70 FPS while flexing increased texture and model details, alongside atmospheric effects and visual effects.
This extra performance has a tremendous impact on gameplay, as a more beautiful game and higher framerates make it easier to enjoy yourself. We were able to add and enhance over 30 moments to make the game more engaging. Many of those moments were made interactive (such as a notable scene in which a major enemy uses the environment against the player). Particular care was taken to ensure the action happens close to the player, for example with PS VR2’s 110-degree field of view it is immediately evident how large Optimus Prime, Grimlok, and Megatron really are in relation to the player.
Meanwhile, the PSVR 2 Sense Controllers will allow players feel when it’s time to reload thanks to the adaptive triggers, while the headset haptics act as a means of alerting players to when they are getting attacked.
Transformers Beyond Reality is out now on PSVR 2/PS5.
